Sewer Systems

This records a process of dialogue on the Financial Resolution page between Citrus County Water Resources staff and the Foundation, representing property owners in unincorporated areas of Citrus County (County) affected by a sewer project, financed under contracts between The City of Crystal River (City) and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). The purpose of the dialogue is to resolve differences in regard to charges to be levied upon those property owners.

The Timeline Analysis page records research narrative as a case study to ascertain facts at the request of the affected property owners. The Correspondence page records outstanding e-mails between the Foundation and the County Water Resources Department.

NOTE

A sewer system connection that enabled recovery of water for use as Reclaimed Water that reduced the need for aquifer pumping would serve to conserve fresh water supplies. In so doing reducing nitrogen levels in spring discharges to better balance the reduced flow rates would help restore degraded water quality in Crystal River/Kings Bay and the other coastal river systems. See News Item dated 14 August, 2011 as printed in the Citrus County Chronicle that day.
